25. Beginning Sock Knitting

Date: Monday July 29, Wednesday July 31 & Friday August 2nd 10-12:30 pm

 

Learn the basics of planning and knitting socks in one week! You will knit a toddler-sized sock. Hang it on your Christmas tree or knit another and have a pair of socks for a kid. With the techniques learned in this class, you’ll be ready to scale them to adult-sized socks!

Student supplies: size 2, 3, or 4 double pointed needles, sport weight yarn

 

 

26. Heels and Toes

Instructor: Franziska Collins                                                Fee: $70 + tax

 

Date: Thursday August 1, 8, & 15  6-8 pm

 

No need for sock patterns any more!! You will learn how to calculate and create patterns- 3 different heels and 3 different toes.

Student supplies: light colored worsted to DK weight yarn in at least 2 different colors, DP needles US # 6 or 7, pen and paper for extra notes; knitting notions.

27. Start for a Good Finish!

Instructor: Franziska Collins                                                Fee: $65 + tax

 

Section A: Saturday August 3rd 10:30-4 pm

Section B: Saturday September 14th 10”30-4 pm

 

Before even starting a project, plan ahead for the perfect finishing (it will make all the difference if being judged).

Student supplies: light colored worsted weight yarn in 2 colors, US 8 needles, pen and paper for notes.

29. My Favorite Knitting Bag

30. Beginning Crochet  

Instructor: Maura Stone                                                       Fee: $50 + tax

Date: Saturday June 22, 29th  9:30-12:30 pm

Students will learn all of the basic stitches (single, double, treble, and half-double crochet) while working on a small project, such as a washcloth. to read both written and graphed patterns.
