Rentals: we have a variety of 4 & 8 shaft looms and a range of spinning wheels that are available for rent at any time they are not being used for classes. (Rented looms are to be used at the store.) Fees are $10 per week. Call for reservations.

Wind those Cumbersome Skeins into easy pull balls. WE have ball winders/swifts and bobbin winders available for your use during store hours. We also have several warping boards for your use at the store, all free of charge.

Silk Steaming is done on Tuesdays for $3/yard (silk velvet is $5/ yard). There is a 2 yard minimum if yours is the only silk that day. Please bring your items to be steamed by 10:30am on Tuesday so we can roll and steam by 4pm.

Special Orders: VW will include special orders in our regular monthly orders from our various suppliers. If you have a need that cannot wait, and we are able to do so, we will special order it separately for an additional fee of $10. However this is NOT ALWAYS possible due to some of the distributors ‘minimum order’ requirements. All orders must be prepaid.

Hold Shelf Policy: We will hold items up to one month. If our project is taking longer than that, you need to notify us for an extension. If in doubt about the amounts of yarn, we recommend that you buy the extra ball and return it for store credit if you do not need it. We will take back unopened skein or balls of any yarn that are still current and in salable condition -undamaged, not smokey (no returns on sale items).

Book and Pattern Return Policy: There will be no returns on books and patterns.

Telephone: After hours, our telephone has a recorded message with relevant information. However, it does not record any messages, and it is not answered. This applies also to Sunday classes.

Parking Issues: If you are attending a class or guild meeting at Village Wools, we would appreciate you parking across from the front of the building so there will be access for our customers who come in for shorter visits. ALSO, at all times, please do not park in the spaces in front of the theapist’s office next door.

Special Help Hours: Regular help hours are Saturday between 1-3pm, and will be suspended after Memorial Day Weekend for the summer. You may drop in for help anytime between 1 and 5 pm. If you have a crochet, spinning or weaving problem, please call ahead to be sure there is a staff member on hand to help. Between 5 and closing, we are doing paperwork and preparing for evening classes, so avoid those times if at all possible.
