Around the shop:
New Mexico is an amazing place! There are so many talented people quietly nestled in unassuming locales all around the Land of Enchantment. We are very fortunate to meet many of these people on a daily basis in the shop. We decided it would be fun to introduce some of these talented local designers to you as well. We are planning a casual “Meet Your Local Designers” afternoon on Saturday, January 18th and Saturday February 15th from 1-5pm. This is a time for you to meet some of these people you may only know from Ravelry and have them talk about their patterns and make yarn suggestions to personalize their ideas for you. If you are a local designer, please get in contact with us to come for either date!
You have noticed, no doubt, that we have not been immune the last few years from the national economic woes. We’ve even heard some amusing rumors about our premature demise! The whole industry has gone through adjustments, which means that a lot of our beloved favorites were discontinued (by the manufacturers and/or distributors). This is good news for you, because we automatically mark them down. The other good news is that there are always new things that are made available. We are constantly getting in new yarns and updating colorways of old steady favorites. The best news is we are not going anywhere! We will be here for all you fiber addicts as long as you are!
Spinning: This spring we are going to have a monthly spinning day. We had a lot of fun preparing for SPINAILLA in October, and figure we all need to dedicate time to spin. We have chosen the 2nd Sunday of every month, and start January 9th 1-4pm. Bring your wheels and come on down!
Help Hours: While there are no ‘official’ help times, you may still drop in anytime between 1-5 pm for help- bring a little patience if we are checking out other customers, but we are always happy to take a look and make suggestions. If you need help with crochet, weaving or spinning, please be sure someone is here who can help with those special issues.
